Trakmaster

Trakmaster is a renowned Australian manufacturer specialising in custom-built off-road caravans, celebrated for their robust construction and suitability for remote travel. Their models, such as the Pilbara, Kimberley, and Tanami, are designed to withstand challenging terrains, making them popular among seasoned travellers.

Customer feedback highlights the exceptional build quality and off-road capabilities of Trakmaster caravans. Owners frequently commend the company's attentive customer service and the durability of their vehicles. For instance, one owner reported that their Pilbara model performed "almost faultlessly" over 30,000 km, with only minor issues encountered, such as a stone nicking a rubber airbag spring. Another owner praised the Kimberley Platinum Series for its sturdy construction and comprehensive features, noting that it "held together in every respect" despite challenging conditions.

However, some owners have identified areas for improvement. One reviewer mentioned that the lithium system in their van was "a bit tricky," and the picnic table and mesh were "not up to scratch." Additionally, they noted that certain issues were due to owner error, such as driving through shallow water crossings without allowing brakes to cool, leading to water entering the wheel bearings.

Overall, Trakmaster caravans are highly regarded for their quality and off-road performance. Prospective buyers should be aware of the premium pricing associated with these vehicles and the importance of proper maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Engaging with the Trakmaster community can provide valuable insights and support for new owners.
