Viscount Caravans, a name with a storied history dating back to the 1950s, has re-emerged in the Australian market, offering a range of modern caravans that blend traditional appeal with contemporary design. Their models, such as the V2 and V3, have garnered attention for their value for money and thoughtful layouts.
The Viscount V2, for instance, features a well-equipped kitchen with a Thetford Caprice MkIII four-burner stove, grill, and oven, complemented by a slimline 141-litre Thetford fridge. The interior boasts a comfortable dinette and a spacious ensuite with a 2.5kg mini automatic washing machine. However, some owners have noted the absence of shelves in the cabinetry, which can make organisation challenging. Additionally, the bed's limited access space due to its positioning near the dinette and kitchen has been mentioned as a minor inconvenience.
The V3 model continues this trend, offering a club lounge and a well-recessed stove. The bathroom is both attractive and functional, though some users have pointed out that the hot water heater's placement can obstruct the water filter cartridge, a concern Viscount plans to address in future models.
In terms of towing, the V2 has been praised for its stability and ease of handling, with no reported sway or undue handling issues.
Overall, Viscount Caravans offers well-priced, feature-rich options for caravanners seeking a blend of tradition and modernity. While there are minor areas for improvement, such as cabinetry organisation and appliance placement, the brand's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is evident.

Things like the reverse camera, TV aireal, sound system and door/cupboard handle mechanisms are very cheap and substandard. Interior Fittings have fallen off on early short trips, more related to poor pre delivery checks as once rectified on the road no further issues occurred. Not helped by poor dealer support and communication. Extremely long wait times for warranty work to be carried out and several trips for the same issues.
Having said that a better dealer may have a large bearing on things although Viscount head office never returned calls or emails either. Check your dealer out best you can!
